Understory, the 35,000-square-foot community hub and culinary market on the tunnel level of downtown’s Bank of America Tower near the theater district, has signed Silver Lining as a long-term tenant in the cocktail bar space. Roveen “Ro” Abante and Florenico “Diko” Jopio III, creators of Lincoln Bar on Washington Avenue, have opened Silver Lining in 262 square feet beneath the Milam art wall of the 9,000-square-foot culinary market, the first tunnel-level property to be open from morning to night. Nick Hernandez, Crystal Allen and Laceee Wilke from Transwestern represented building owner Skanska and Silver Lining. Understory, which has also signed East Hampton Sandwich Co., Boomtown Coffee, Mama Ninfa’s Tacos y Tortas, Mona Fresh Italian Food, Flip ‘n Patties and SeaSide Poké, will host a grand opening this week at 800 Capitol with pop-up shops, tastings, live bands and yoga. One restaurant stall remains to be leased.
French luxury bag and accessory retailer Louis Vuitton is coming to Market Street – The Woodlands. The 4,000-square-foot store, next to Michael Kors and across from Sweet Paris, is slated to open Sept. 6 at 9595 Six Pines Drive. It will be the brand’s sixth freestanding store in Texas and second in Houston along with the Galleria. Market Street – The Woodlands is owned by Institutional Mall Investors and managed by Trademark Property Co.
State Fare Kitchen & Bar has leased 6,086 square feet in Sugar Land Town Square, at 15958 City Walk in Sugar Land, for a second area location. Jennifer Fogle of Planned Community Developers represented the landlord. Kristen Barker of Wulfe & Co. represented the tenant.
PsyClinic , a provider of mental health services for adults and children, has leased 2,686 square feet at 2400 Mid Lane for its third Houston location. Keri Jo McCory of Beeson Properties represented the landlord in-house. Elise Weatherall and Michelle Sobiesk of Wulfe & Co. represented the tenant.
Big Lots will hold a grand opening for its 29,032-square-foot store 4815 East Freeway, Baytown, on Friday, Aug. 23. The store showcases a new format with affordably priced furniture, seasonal, home, food and consumables goods.
Local Table has leased 4,300 square feet in Cross Creek Corner, 5818 Mustang Ridge Lane, Fulshear, from Cross Creek Corner 1 LLC. Rachael Keener of NewQuest Properties represented the tenant. Steven Stone of KM Realty represented the landlord.
Wingstop has leased 2,509 square feet in The Market at 1488, a Kroger-anchored shopping center at FM 1488 and FM 2978 in Magnolia. Kyle Knight and Cole Mueller with Weitzman represented the landlord. Eddie Lang with Quenby Commercial represented the tenant. The lease brings the center to 100 percent occupancy. Other tenants include Great Clips, UPS Store and Little Caesars.
Crunch Fitness has leased nearly 30,000 square feet for a 24-hour fitness center in League City Plaza at Interstate 45 and FM 518 in League City. Opening is planned for the fall. Kyle Cowan of NAI Wheelhouse represented the tenant. Brad Kilbride represented Weingarten Realty in-house. The $3.5 million gym will be Tony Hartl’s facility in Texas, according to Weingarten Realty. Monthly membership start at $9.95.
Manduu, a fitness concept using electrical muscle stimulation to tone, firm, and strengthen muscles, has opened at 3733 Westheimer. The Nashville-based company plans another location in Rice Village.
REV365 Fitness has opened a 3,000-square-foot studio offering group fitness classes at 16322-A Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land. Co-owned by Lorie Fowler and Blake Propst., the studio combines cardio, strength training and high intensity interval training with body composition analysis technology. Equipment includes assault bikes, VersaClimbers, rowers, treadmills and weights. Prices start at $59 for four classes per month.
Revolution Studio, a fitness studio offering yoga, cycle and strength classes,has opened a 3,400-square-foot location at 1129 Uptown Park in Uptown Park. The studio offers more than 75 classes a week.
Vikari Boutique is doubling the size of its store in River Oaks Shopping Center on West Gray near Shepherd to 1,120 square feet. The expansion is slated for completion in October. John Wise represented owner Weingarten Realty in-house. The clothing, jewelry and accessories boutique has been a tenant since 2013.
